Domestic Violence
Domestic violence is so unknown to everyone, don't get me wrong everybody knows domestic violence or abuse in a household takes place but citizens choose to ignore it because they feel there is nothing they can do or even that there is nothing to be done. The police look the other way as well unless it is serious enough to bring to court; the police want no part in domestic violence. There is also the fact of invading on or in another family if you try to help or solve the situation; families’ don’t take kindly to others butting in to give "parenting advice."

Presentations
The presentation I enjoyed most was James Serena's because it was very interesting even tho the US's debt is now 15 trillion not 14, it was very informative. It also helped me because when I went to politics and the subject came up I knew a lot about the topic.

Violence in society
In school when one is bullied or offended they will grow older and mimic this behavior by being the bully. Now in society if u have strict parents or teachers that you don't like u will rebel against them. Or if they don't look after you that well with no structure in your life you will grow into bad habits. There are so many reasons for violence but i believe that the ones offended are the offenders against society.

Invisible Children
Violence and youth violence in specific is very brainwashing, for example no child would kill a man because they just want to or feel like it. War and violence is very physiologically disturbing, children and men are brainwashed to fight and kill. The few root causes of these abductions are for one the rebels who are the ones doing the abductions. But also the governments fault by not doing all that they can about this. Many say the children are our futures but in this case it is almost like the government isn't recognizing the issue.

Racism blog
Do you think a teacher/parent/guardian should be permitted within their freedom of expression to convey discriminatory thoughts to their child(ren) against a certain race, religion, belief, etc?
I don't believe racism is something that should be taught. Neo Nazi for example, yes the ones who are can be and have the choice to be but to raise someone in Canada to follow Neo Nazi and only that and to not allow them to have there own believes and opinions should be illegal and acted on. But as far as history goes i believe that facts should be taught and opinions only suggested so that students know the facts and have an opinion second.

CARE model senarios
1. If I had a crush on this person and she offered to smoke a joint with me I would tell her that it is her life and she can if she wants because I wont stop her but I also won't join her. while not doing anything about the situation I am also having her make the decision.
2. If this happened where I was dishonest on my resume and got the job instead of my friend who worked hard for it, I know I would feel bad for this, so I would do my best to have the job turned over to my friend by showing the internship that he deserves it more than myself.
3. Here I would continuously encourage this friend to seek help for himself, and if this fails over time I would not know what to do so I would seek help from a professional for advice of what to do and where to go from there.
4. I would stay first of all because a factory against the few people that do climb over, the factory would win for sure and have u behind bars, now if this factory was committing crime by doing this I would go straight to the police or a higher up in order to help the cause.
5. In this case saving Innocent civilians is a priority but human rights are not to be disobeyed, but on the other hand there are many interrogation tactics that don't involve violating the human rights of this person. There are tactics within conversation that can help in this situation.

WIC Preparation
The preparation was important and informative where we would frame the issues that we signed up for, but to the ones that attended the conference i believe they should have brought discussion questions to the presentations so they wouldn't be put on the spot. As we know, not many grade 12's took place in this conference partially due to other events like snowboarding which included myself. Next year I think the dates should be more clearly arranged so that every student has the time to go and knows it is mandatory in order to notice who came and who didn't.
